Find out what Trashwater has planned for April 2017!

TW Trip | April 2016

In April of 2016, the Trashwater team had the opportunity to return to Nicaragua to continue our work of providing clean water and sanitation to our community partners. This was Trashwater's most fast and furious trip to date. In a matter of days, the team held several water and sanitation classes, distributed filters and stoves, and installed a purification system. Miraculously, we were also able to find the time to meet with new and existing partners as well as scout out a few potential projects. We are very excited by some of the future opportunities this trip has unveiled!

The generosity of our supporters allows Trashwater to impact the lives of many by providing resources previously unavailable. With a little more help, we will be able to provide even more on our next trip and plan for bigger and better future projects.

Trash Talk goes down on February 27th at the fabulous Frazer Center located off Ponce de Leon Ave near Fernbank. Atlanta's best and brightest will duke it out in a series of battles, including: a literary battle (featuring Laura Relyea, Myke Johns, and more), a comic battle (featuring Ismael Loutfi, Neal Reddy, and more), a bar battle, a live art battle, and an epic surprise battle that will knock you out of your seat - trust us! The battles will be refereed by nationally known comic Andrew George who has opened for Aziz Ansari, Louis C.K., Amy Schumer and many more. (Quick note: this is a 21+ event, sorry kids!)

We will have a silent auction featuring incredible items from wide variety of vendors, including: Kendra Scott, Drybar, Dragonfly Salon, The Atlanta Ballet, King of Pops, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Laughing Skull, Sq/Ft Boutique, a signed copy of Laura Relyea’s book “All Glitter Everything”, art from Heather Lund, Ashley Anderson and many more!

Proceeds from the event will help Trashwater return to Nicaragua in March to continue providing clean water, sanitation, and education.  They will also go to Duty of Design who use graphic design to create dynamic resumes for Atlanta’s homeless. There’s so much more to tell you and we’ll have many more announcements leading up to the event, so get your tickets and stay tuned on all our social media feeds. A HUGE thank you to our sponsors Laughing Skull Comedy Lounge and Bang!Arts! Early bird and VIP tickets available now so get cracking!

New Site and a Big Announcement

First of all, we are incredibly excited to show off our new site! Our new look is long overdue and we hope other enjoy it as much as we do. Ultimately, we hope this site will give us a solid platform to showcase our work and connect with people who share our passion of making the world a better place.

Also - we want to announce that we are going to make a huge announcement soon. Yes, this is a bit of a tease, but over the past several months we've been working on something HUGE! We're ironing out some of the details at the moment, but look forward to some exciting news next week.
