  JOSHUA SANDERS | Co-Founder / Executive Director Joshua Sanders is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Trashwater International. After his first humanitarian trip to Romania at the age of 15 Josh always knew that he wanted to serve the under served. In 2007, on a trip to Egypt Josh became incredibly ill and was hospitalized after being exposed to unsafe drinking water. After months of conversations with Trashwater co-founder Colin Denlea and countless hours researching the Global Water Crises Josh and Colin started Trashwater as a response to the issue of unsafe water in Urban areas.  Josh is a father, husband, social activist, lover of stories and dreamer who in his limited spare time works with people who have Intellectual Disabilities. Josh has a passion for improving the World both at home in Atlanta and abroad.

  LUIS GUIDO | Regional Director, Nicaragua Luis is our Regional Director and operates as our community liaison when Trashwater is not in Central America. Luis has worked with Trashwater for 6 years; operating as a translator and progressing into our Regional Director.

  NATHAN HOLMAN | Vice-Chair, Board of Directors Nathan Holman is a geospatial analyst in the Atlanta area and Trashwater's resident environmental and data nerd. He has a BS in Environmental Science and a Masters in Public Administration. Currently, Nathan is working to improve Trashwater's water quality and geospatial data collection methods.  Nathan lives in Decatur, GA with his wife and dog where he brews beer, reads books, and looks for new ways to improve the world around him.

A 2006 graduate of Georgia State University, she has been involved in the Atlanta arts community for more than 8 years. Her past work with MINT includes co-founding Gather Atlanta, a networking event for local arts organizations, and developing Leap Year, MINT’s emerging artist program. Outside of MINT, she serves on the Board of Atlanta Celebrates Photography, The Atlanta Zine Fest, and Trashwater, and works as a Senior Producer at Indigo Studios..

  Jon Watts | Advisory Board Jon Watts is a Director/Producer based out of Atlanta, Georgia. His work has been featured both domestically and internationally. In 2012, Jon premiered his highly anticipated documentary feature debut, “AKA Blondie.” This award-winning film has received praise from critics, and has gone on to play at festivals throughout the world. “Homespun” is a documentary series he developed with his wife and filmmaking partner to collaborate with talented filmmakers telling community-driven stories. The series itself profiles local characters in and around metro Atlanta, Georgia.
